ClearVision Optical, an optical products distributor, is considering options including a sale, according to two sector advisors.
Hauppauge, New York-based ClearVision has mandated Lincoln International to advise it, one of the advisors said.
ClearVision designs and distributes optical frames and sunglasses through its website to customers globally. It generates EBITDA in the low-double digits, the second advisor said.
ClearVision is family-owned and was founded in 1949 by Fred Friedfeld, whose son David is now president, according to its website.
Representatives of ClearVision did not return requests for comment. A Lincoln International spokesperson declined to comment.
The company is likely to be of interest to private equity firms, according to the second advisor, which can finance additional growth through new product lines and distribution contracts.
