You keep me young! Come network with the leaders of tomorrow and today at the 24th Annual Columbia Business School Private Equity Conference

The more things change, the more they stay the same. This this February 23rd industry professionals and students will once again gather for the 24th Annual CBS Private Equity Conference at the Mariott Marquis in Times Square, NY. The theme of this year’s conference is “Maintaining Discipline in the Face of Increased Competition”. The topic is incredibly timely – this month has already seen the return of mega-deals like the $17bn Blackstone buyout of Thompson Reuters and Dealogic reports that deal volume is kicking the year off at a pace not seen since 2000, with over 1959 deals announced in January alone. Discussing these trends and more are an outstanding roster of keynote speakers including Blackstone’s Senior MD and Chief Investment Officer, Prakash Melwani, Sentinel’s Founding Partner, David Lobel, Kelso & Company’s Co-CEO, Phil Berney, Abraaj Group’s MD, Pradeep Ramamurthy, and Mill Road Capital’s Senior MD & Founder, Thomas E. Lynch. There will also be various flavors of breakout panels on PE operations, buyouts, growth equity, real estate, search funds and distressed situations — something for everyone!

With over 500 industry professionals, students from Columbia and top regional universities (full disclosure, the author counts herself among them) and members of the media expected in attendance, this year’s conference is not to be missed. This is a great opportunity to network with thought leaders hailing from across the industry, to hear great market content, and also to network with the up-and-coming students. You might find someone to recruit, or you might meet someone who can be a relevant deal contact in the not-too-distant future. The students of Columbia Business School welcome you to come engage in all the excitement. We hope to see you there! Conference tickets are now available online here and for additional details visit the conference website
